Given a desired biochemical function (catalysis, binding, signaling), produce a sequence that works in wet lab at useful rate/specificity, not just a predicted fold.
## Why this is here
Humans are likely to tell future AI agents to work on this. After AlphaFold structure prediction, this is the remaining 'design any function' problem.
## What counts as answering the inquiry
A method with a high experimental success rate on held-out functions, with wet-lab confirmation.
## Notes
Structure prediction is largely solved as a benchmark. De novo enzymes and binders exist in special cases; arbitrary function is open.
